THE WOMAN BEHIND THE STRATEGY – MARIAH FRENCH

You might not recognize my face, but there’s a good chance you’ve laughed at one of my commercials. Before I became an author positioning strategist, I was just a girl on the screen. I spent my teenage and young adult years doing on-camera acting — including a role in a Squatty Potty commercial. (Yes, that Squatty Potty. And yes, it was exactly as fun as it sounds.)

What did acting teach me? Everything about branding, showing up
consistently, and being known for something so clearly and memorably
that people can’t help, but think of you when that something comes up. It
taught me to walk into a room and own it. And it gave me a healthy
appreciation for the fact that being seen doesn’t happen by accident.

Acting taught me how to be in the world without being of the world. I advocate for keeping Christian values and sharing God’s Word.

The Road to The Published Life

After my acting days, I dove into the world of digital marketing. I spent
time as an SEO Account Manager for the GoDaddy team, where I learned that showing up online requires strategy, consistency, and a genuine relationship with Google. (Keywords help too. I know them well.)

I also ran a family travel blog at mariahfrench.com, where I got hands-on
experience in the two things that actually grow an audience: cold email
outreach that doesn’t feel cold, and email newsletters that turn casual
readers into genuine fans. I learned quickly that followers are vanity, but
fans are everything. Niche matters. Branding matters. Showing up
consistently matters.

Along the way, I picked up a Certificate in Hospitality & Tourism
Management from Ensign College, became a certified Short-Term Rental
Safety Inspector, and earned experience in short-term and long-term property management. That background trained my eye for detail. I don’t miss things and that thoroughness carries into everything I do for my clients.

Oh, and I served a church mission in Madrid, Spain for 18 months where I learned Spanish.

Why I Use AI — And Why You Should Too

I homeschool my four kids. I am connected in real estate. I run this business. I pray and read my scriptures daily. And I do it all without losing my mind because I’ve gotten very, very good at working efficiently.

AI is the tool that made that possible. When I discovered how AI could
handle the time-consuming, repetitive parts of marketing and publicity —
researching pitch targets, drafting outreach, maintaining messaging
consistency — I knew I had to build my entire service model around it. Not
because it’s trendy, but because it saves you real time and real money,
which can be spent on the things that actually matter.

For example, let’s look at how I used AI to create a new, professional photo of myself. These are the two pictures from my camera roll that I showed it.

My exact prompt was: Based on these photos, create a professional image of me wearing a dark green blouse and sitting at a cafe table. This is the image it generated!

AI Generated Photo of Mariah French

I didn’t have to pay for a professional photographer or block out time in my calendar for a photoshoot. In fact, it generated this image in less than one minute. Just imagine all the time and money it could save you!

Why Christian Nonfiction Authors, Specifically?

Because I’m a Christian. I believe in the message that you are sharing and the kingdom impact you can have. You wrote your book because you have something valuable to say — something that can change the way people think, feel, live, or work. That message deserves to be heard, not just by the people who stumble onto your Amazon listing, but by the audiences who are praying for what you are offering.

Here’s the thing most authors miss… The book isn’t the destination. The book is the key.

The real opportunity — the lucrative, audience-building, career-defining
opportunity — is public speaking. Getting paid to stand on stages and share
your expertise. That’s where thought leaders are made. And that’s exactly
where I come in.

My job is to help you define your brand, clarify your core message, and get
you in front of the audiences who are ready to pay to hear what you have to
say.

You wrote the book. Now let’s get you on the stage.
